The sentence was said half in jest, half in earnest – and became the starting point for an adventure.

In 2007, we took over Gram Slot, which had been empty for 25 years.

A castle that needed life. For people. For meaning.

 

Since then, we have created a versatile business in the heart of Southern Jutland. Gram Slot is today a living cultural heritage – a place where you can stay, be, experience and taste. Our farm-to-table philosophy is simple and at eye level: presence, honesty and respect for the ingredients and those who will enjoy them.

 

Even though we are big today and supply organic products to REMA 1000, we remain deeply humble about the task. What we grow and produce is also what you see on the plate in our restaurant.

 

In addition, the castle provides a setting for concerts, parties, courses and conferences - all while we operate a large organic farm with consideration for nature, animals and people.

 

We ourselves live in the oldest wing of the castle, the east wing, built around 1470. The south and west wings are open to the public and are used for tours, receptions, meetings and stays.

 

Gram Slot is today a cultural institution with a lively presentation of history, architecture, agriculture, culture and nature – and above all, a place that is used.
