About the event
On the first Sunday of every month from 2 p.m. we invite you to a genuine South Jutland coffee table in the Manor Stables.
We have revived one of the region's most heartwarming traditions – the one where people gather around the table, talk, laugh and let the aroma of homemade baking fill the room. On the cake table you will find all the goodies: soft and crispy cakes, layer cakes, cookies and sweet classics, all homemade and made with organic ingredients from our own kitchen.
The tradition of the South Jutland coffee table dates back to the time after 1864, when the people of South Jutland – under foreign rule – were not allowed to gather for meetings. Instead, people met for coffee tables, where the community and Danish song and culture could live on. The cakes became a symbol of unity, pride and hospitality.
