It's been a while since Frank last stood alone on stage. Time has passed with Klovn , badminton programs, podcasts, Minkavlrenne – and an almost two-year stay in New Zealand with his family. But now he's returning to the small theaters that he loves so much. There's nothing better than having fun with jokes in a packed hall.

“I have chosen many small stages and a few large ones. For me, it is important that they are intimate and cozy. I think stand-up works best when we can feel each other. That makes a difference in the quality.”

With “A Beautiful Crash,” Frank picks up where he left off: a little too honest and a little too inappropriate. The show is about big and small… new jokes, new realizations, but it also revolves around a common thread that has followed him the whole way: the crash.

Clowning is a long beautiful fall. His stand-up shows have been beautiful falls. Losing your footing, losing face and losing self-control are the waters Frank swims in.

“I'm 55 years old, and when I look around my social circle, I have to say: It's a warzone. People are crashing around me – they're getting divorced, fired, sick or just plain crazy… You could shoot 9 out of 10 of them and the world would be a better place. BUT the entertainment value is colossal.”

Everyone falls sooner or later, it's actually going to go completely wrong no matter what. So let's fall with style.

“A kid once told me: If you fall, do a few push-ups while you're down there anyway, then you won't lose your aura. I don't know if push-ups are right for me – but I like the idea of getting something good out of a fall.”
